07.08.2023This game is unironically one of the best and one of my personal favorite indie horror's (or, well, 'horrors', in this case) I have ever seen, and certainly one of my favorites out of ANY Manly has covered that I've watched (and I've seen quite a fair number, especially the more notable or serious/non-meme ones).
Frankly right up there, for me at least, with the better Chilla's Art games, Project Kat, Death Palette and Cat in the Box, and just behind the Purgatory's and Don't Escape. Its both decently scary for its technical limitations (although albeit nowhere near as much as the large majority of the better horror-oriented games just on this channel, even with said limits), but much more importantly, the true ending is so wholesome and adorable you could bottle it up, sprinkle it on a donut, and give a man diabetes and/or an instant heart attack out of sheer sweetness.
Genuinely one of my personal favorite wholesome endings to any game, and that's saying a hell of a lot, as silly as it might be. Granted, I am also a total fucking sap fundamentally; especially when it comes to this sort of subject matter, but nevertheless. Gawd damn if I don't find myself coming back here at least on occasion just to rewatch. Its so silly and obviously cliche, but I can't help but love it.

02.08.2023I find it interesting that people are blaming the parents here. It feels like they are ignoring all the context to make the, "It's never the child that's the problem," statement.
Did they ignore the fact that the parents are also being subjected to the Ana's psychic whims? There was dialogue mentioning that Ana may be also be messing with their heads.
Are they ignoring the fact that Ana has intentionally killed babysitters? Ana had her teddy bear attack our MC on Day 1. She was going to "disappear" anyway.
Are they ignoring the fact that the only reason the MC survived is because she had psychic powers of her own to fight back? If she didn't, she would've had her mind "taken" like the other babysitters.
I'm not going to pretend that the parents' behavior was all good, but I think it is foolish to not consider that perhaps they were pushed into their behavior because Ana was so unwieldly. (Did they not see the portraits before the visit and after deciding to take care of Ana?) I think the parents are just as much of a victim as Ana.
